5th grade students participated in activities for Veterans Day all week last week - including getting to build flags out of blocks during their time in the gym! Mrs. Steuart brings all different kinds of large and small motor skill activities into her lessons to keep students excited and engaged. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Kindergartners just LOVE their teachers! So much so, that they often bring them bouquets of "flowers." Isn't it so sweet? #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Everybody loves that Chick-Fil-A sweet tea and lemonade! Bring it to your holiday gathering, corporate party, or home for dinner. This month Chick-fil-A will donate $1 to the Claremore Public School Foundation. CPSF funds class and teacher grants district-wide. Make kindness the norm and color the world with kindness today! Nov. 13th is World Kindness Day. World Kindness Day was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations' kindness NGOs and is observed in many countries, including the United States! Mrs. Millsap's 3rd grade students listened to a short story then combined their knowledge of visualizing with plot to recreate the story in pictures! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

2nd grade students in Mrs. Stanart's class are having a blast during indoor recess! Though students can't go outside in the rain, they still have the opportunity to have a much needed brain-break in the middle of their day. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

"Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning." -Fred Rogers Pre-K students get many opportunities to practice what they are learning during class! Center rotations, whole class lessons, and one-on-one teaching all come together to give our Pre-K students what they need to be successful! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

This week is National School Psychologist Week! We are so very thankful to have Mrs. Crum on our team at Claremont. She goes above and beyond to be a resource for teachers, students and parents. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Crum! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

5th grade students participating in the Robotics Club are having an amazing time being able to learn with our WRJH and CHS robotics teams. Students from Claremont and Roosa are bussed to the high school once a week to spend time learning about robotics alongside our JR High and HS students. It truly is an amazing opportunity to build friendships across our school sites! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Meet Mrs. McMillan. Mrs. McMillan is our school counselor. Mrs. McMillan provides education, prevention, early identification and intervention. She helps our students achieve academic success, develop social/emotional skills, and assists students with learning how to face difficult situations in school or at home. She is an incredibly valuable part of our team at Claremont. Give a shout out to Mrs. McMillan in the comments! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

"I have A, who has C?" Kindergartners in Mrs. Bradfield's class played I have… Who has… with their alphabet! This game practices on letter & sound recognition, as well as social skills. They enjoyed it! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

"The foot bone's connected to the leg bone, the leg bone's connected to the knee bone, the knee bone's connected to the thigh bone..." Students in Mrs. Tidwell's class learned about the skeletal system and were amazed at how many bones we have in our bodies! They even got to create an almost life-sized skeleton of their own! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
